iJoomla Magazine: The Next Generation
iJoomla Magazine was our first commercial extension and has been wildly popular with developers since its birth four years ago. Now it’s time for a major upgrade. Version 4.0 will be available within two months and will include the following enhancements/features:
- Unlimited Zones!
Add all the module and article zones you need! This is going to be very powerful. - Image Automation
Automatically upload and resize your images, or set your magazine to grab pictures from articles. - Style Manager
New styles will be available for the most popular templates, and you can upload more easily. - New Layout Manager
An easier way to manage layouts and zone tags. - Better Authors Profiles
Full control over author profile pages with support for Twitter, Facebook, blogs and more - Mini Articles – Show related articles, random articles, popular articles and more with thumbnails
And much more!

Any idea when this next version of iJoomla Magazine will be available ? The automatic Image-grabbing resizing (like News Portal) will be very intersting…

We hope to release it within 2 months or less. We had to re-write the entire code, so it’s taking a bit time, but it will be worth the wait 🙂

When will iJoomla Magazine be available for Joomla 1.7? It seems there is only a 1.5, not even a 1.6 version.

We are working on entirely new extension that will replace both Magazine and News portal. It will take us a few more months to finish.
