Resolved URL's dont appear to be very SEO friendly

Please let me know if I may have just missed a setting the configuration of Guru, but I feel the URL's a bit messy.

1 - when setting up new joomla>guru menu links, each has an odd code/number in the menu link - see screenshot

2 - When visiting the main Guru link, which is a category list layout, we have the menu named "VLE" & VLE in the alias. But the menu is /vle/guruPrograms. We want to get rid of the guruPrograms. see screenshot

3 - Follows on from 2. Each URL we visit, always has a longer than necessary URL, with guruPrograms within in it - screenshot for this attached too.
